The story of Daily Bread-N-Foods is a tale of entrepreneurship and passion that begins with Shahbehram Khodiyar Atai, who emigrated from Iran and established Aryan Bakery in Mumbai (then Bombay) in 1951. His venture into the bakery business laid the foundation for what would later become a renowned brand. In 1986, Shahbehram, along with his son Shahriyar Atai, launched Daily Bread N Foods at Worli, Mumbai. The bakery was dedicated to providing healthy, premium-quality bakery products, consistently available for daily consumption. The name, inspired by the prayer "Oh Lord, give us this day our Daily Bread," symbolized their commitment to delivering fresh, customized bakery items to various institutions, hotels, flight kitchens, schools, and caterers across Mumbai. Shahbehram Atai's entrepreneurial spirit and hospitality were passed down to Shahriyar, who took over the business in 1988. Shahriyar, having attended the prestigious CFTRI bakery institute in Mysore and trained under master bakers from abroad, returned with innovative ideas that set the bakery apart. One of his notable innovations was the creation of triangular sandwich bread, eliminating the need to cut bread slices into triangles. Under Shahriyar's leadership, Daily Bread-N-Foods expanded its product line, incorporating modern machinery and healthy ingredients. The brand earned a reputation for quality, reliability, and affordability, serving a wide range of clients, including flight kitchens, railways, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools, colleges and caterers. The iconic image of the friendly chef on the packaging became synonymous with the brand, representing a promise of delicious and healthy food products. Beyond bread, Shahriyar's passion for good taste led to the introduction of new offerings, including the popular Bhonu Appetite, which featured authentic Parsi cuisine and catered to various segments. Today, Daily Bread-N-Foods continues to uphold the legacy of its founders, delivering a diverse range of bakery and food products that meet the discerning tastes of its customers in Mumbai and beyond.
